Meticulously hand-tied in the jaspe method, dyed with local natural plant dyes, then woven on backstrap looms, these soft, all-cotton shawls are truly something special. To create the jaspe technique (broadly called the Ikat technique), artisans tie hundreds of very small strings in knots around thread bundles, then place the bundles in dye before weaving. Currently only available in blue.
