Jacinta Xon
Jacinta, a 59-year-old Guatemalan artisan from Chimaltenango, has been a transformative figure in her community, leveraging 18 loan cycles with Friendship Bridge since 2009 to grow her textile business. Overcoming challenges of the Guatemalan Civil War, she, with her partner Eliseo, expanded from bags and purses to a diverse range of products. Her business, empowered by technical and financial support from Friendship Bridge, now serves markets in the U.S. and Germany, employs seven people, and supports her family, including funding her children's education.
